Vicinity Technologies has today (3 March) announced its formal membership of Space South Central, the largest regional space cluster in the UK.
The announcement coincides with the company’s participation in Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2025 where it will showcase its pioneering 5G Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) technology.
Visitors to the event will be the first to witness the demonstration of Vicinity’s latest 5G NTN base station and user terminal solutions showcased in their stand (Hall 7, Stand 7A11). The solutions are aimed at improving satellite connectivity for global communications, emergency response, and remote infrastructure.
Vicinity Technologies has over 15 years of experience in developing 4G and 5G radio access equipment. The company has received funding from the UK Space Agency to expand its terrestrial network expertise into software-based solutions for 5G NTNs, meeting the increasing demand for seamless connectivity between ground and space-based communications systems.
